Dream Project & Update
Well I’m wrapping up the writing on my new book aimed at ages 10 – 18 about growing up and the range of emotions we deal with. My daughter is putting the finishing touches on the cover art and I’ll share that as soon as it’s ready. I’m looking at a late September release for print and digital copies.
In other news I’ve been hired to write an audioplay adaptation of a major storyline involving characters that I grew up loving and still do. These are characters you are all familiar with and I’m excited to share the news as soon as I can. In addition to the writing of the season 4 premier, I’ll also be voice acting in it. I’ll announce the role(s) with my next update.
Now to get back to the tight deadlines and everything else I’m working on. Hope you all have a good week.
Oh and feel free to guess what the project is. First one who guesses correctly will get a free download of one of my novels.
Upcoming slate
Now that my novel CONSUMED BY WAR is in its final editing stages and will be released in July 2019, here’s what’s in the works for the next twelve months or so:
THE LOST YEAR – a short story that will serve as an epilogue of sorts to the new novel, and also be a stand alone adventure with a female lead. (September 2019)
BEYOND TIME TRILOGY – 3 novels and 3 short stories that circle from the future into humanity’s past and present. (Late 2019)
DIGESTED CONCEPTS – Nonfiction book taking a look at the inspiration and behind the scenes of the Eternal Hunger Saga (2020)
Secret project – (2020)
Untitled Baseball book – nonfiction look at the sport of baseball, coaching experiences and how to be an effective coach and so much more related to the sport. It will be presented in a fun way for readers who are and are not fans of America’s past time. (late 2020)
Lots more in the works as well, so stay tuned and don’t forget to follow me on twitter and Instagram @rickpipito as well as on facebook @rickpipitobooks.
Plans for 2016
It’s been a crazy few months here, so I’ve slacked on posting updates. I apologize for that. Here’s an update of my current projects and what is coming in 2016 and beyond.
PLANET ATE – The 8th standalone novel in my ongoing series starts off with a bang and will raise many questions as to our human history. It will look at various alien encounters and UFO incidents, plus inspiration from real life events, the Bible, and more. This is perhaps my favorite installation yet and was so much fun to write. Its in final stages now and will be available in January 2016.
A LITTLE BOY IN THE LAND OF SLEEPLESS KNIGHTS – My next children’s book will bring Dan Pipito back for his watercolor expertise. This time it will be geared towards boys and has been written for my son. Look for it in the Spring of 2016.
(WORKING ON TITLE) – This will be the final book in my Beyond Human trilogy and conclude the main series taking Gordon Lightcap on one final adventure. While it closes the doors of the past, the future will be opened to do much more, so look for a new chapter to open. This will be released in Fall of 2016
As always, thank you for your support. I will continue to be active on social media and update here as often as I can. There are a few other projects in the works, but we are keeping them tight lipped for now. Have a happy new year! – Rick Pipito
Slightly new Look for 2013
Okay, so the site doesn’t look different as a whole, but there is easier navigation on the sidebar. Now the sCrypt Comics logo is presented in its entire beauty. Below this are the categories of our articles (just like at the top of the page). The search engine will stay the same, and below that will be three quick links to go directly to the author spotlight pages for the Novels, books and graphic novels (available in multiple formats on www.lulu.com, www.amazon.com and on www.indyplanet.com .
Finally, there is a like button for our facebook news feed, as well as an email entry bar for updates. An affiliate link or two will be coming soon as well as other good stuff. We are also working on a flash animation intro for later in the year. Please continue to spread the word about us, and thank you for the support.
What’s in The Works
As always, we are extremely busy with multiple projects, so here is a quick update.
Our fourth graphic novel has officially started production. We are hard at work gathering artists, storyboarding and putting finishing tweaks on some of the dialogue for “Souls 4 Supper: Ghostly Hauntings.” If you are or know anyone who is an artist that may be interested in working on some great ghost stories, please contact us immediately. Slots are filling up quickly, but there are still vacancies. This is great exposure for any dedicated artist, or for an artist who is looking to do something unique and awesome. – rickpipito@hotmail.com
I am also working on the next novel in the Flesh and Leftovers series entitled “Devil’s Dessert.” This time, Gordon Lightcap and his team are up against an ancient war between heaven and hell. The angels and demons have chosen Earth as their battleground, so while an apocalypse is upon humanity, the balance of order and chaos teeters on the free will of the people. Will earth give in to the darkness or the light?
In the works, but still waiting for copyright finalities is the first story in the “M.U.T.S. Files.” This will be a free release online that will involve origin stories of the members of our favorite covert op team MUTS. Artist Kelly Swann will be the first to illustrate a few scenes from the story to make it appealing to the eye as well. Again, if you are an artist or know anyone interested in a project like this, let me know.
Finally, in the early stages of negotiation is a crossover event between sCrypt Comics and Earthbound comics. Nothing is set in stone as of yet, but the wheels are in motion, and both sides have expressed interest. More news on this to come.
On a charitable note, sales were decent for the month of November, so I am writing a check this week for a third of the profits from sales for last month. This check will be donated to the American Red Cross Hurricane Sandy relief fund.
As always, I am trying to get my stories into hollywood and many other outlets so that someone will pick them up, or at least fund us for larger projects. The world of sCrypt comics as well as my novels has no limits, so let’s all keep our fingers crossed, and if you know a connection of sorts, please send them our way.
You, the fans, are the best that there is, so keep supporting us! Thank you again,
Rick Pipito (sCrypt Comics co-founder)
