BONES AT BREAKFAST is the #novel of focus for day 23 of #scrypthalloween. Here are some facts: 1) it was published on February 15, 2011. 2) not only did @dpipito @pintsizedpages do a fantastic job with the cover art but he also included the illustration shown of my Native American character Chief Whispering Wolf. 3) the “true” story behind the origins of certain folklore and fairy tales represented in this book are: Little Red Riding Hood, Peter and The Wolf, The Three Little Pigs, #werewolf, and #greekmythology. 4) when rounding out my outline for writing this book I was worried that I wouldn’t be able to keep a Lycan story interesting. Once I fleshed out the details and began #writing it ended up being the quickest and easiest book to write so far. 5) one of my werewolves in the pages experiences altered moods and appearances based on every phase of the moon, not just a full moon. Cover Reveal: Consumed By War

IMG_0719[1] The brainstorming and writing has been incessant as of late. Wrapping up this novel has proven to be a challenge for me because it will be the final entry in this 12 book saga. Making it stand alone and also tie up all the unanswered questions from the previous novels is probably one of the most difficult things I’ve done, but it will be well worth the wait. The historical and mythological tie ins for this book exceeds everything I’ve done so far and in a way that will have the reader on the edge of their seat.

That being said, here’s the cover reveal for CONSUMED BY WAR. My brother, Dan Pipito, did the art and came up with the concept for this. Be sure to follow him @dpipito or check out his children’s art @pintsizedpages.

Day 5 – Bones At Breakfast

Day 5 of #scrypthalloween takes a look at my novel BONES AT BREAKFAST. This book proved to be more of a challenge to write than the prior two because I felt limited by the subject. I thought it was difficult to make it feel grounded, but then decided that by explaining the origins of mythology and fairy tales I could make it work. It became my easiest book to write. @dpipito did this cover art (sans text) to keep with the theme of the trilogy…….
